A couple weeks ago I spent the entire day out shopping with my son. We probably went to 6-8 different stores. The final stop was hit Wal-Mart by our in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I look down and noticed there was a big hole in the middle of my wedding ring. MY CENTER STONE WAS GONE! I panicked and couldn’t catch my breath. I couldn’t barely talk when I told my son, the cashier and everyone around me, “My Diamond’s Gone!”
Just then my son finds my center stone on behind me on the floor in the check-out line. It really was a miracle.
On Tuesday, August 18, I missed a call from Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall. She left a voicemail but I was in a meeting and was unable to listen it to it. I was going to be around people the whole day so I wouldn’t have been able to listen to the message until that evening. But, right about the voicemail I got a text message from Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall. She said, “I just spoke to my corporate office. We discussed your ring and I told them how important it was to you to have it repaired in time for your event on September 1. They have authorized me to replace the ring with a brand new ring. Since every diamond is unique, I need you to approve the new ring so we can solder your bands to the new ring. “She sent me several pictures via text. I replied giving approval and I had a brand new ring by August 21!
First of all, Having my ring back by September 1 was important to me and that was all Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall needed to know to make it important to her! When Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall left me that message on August 18, she could have easily left it at that. The ball was in my court to listen to the message and call her back. We would have lost a day maybe 2-3 since I would have had to make time to go in the store and look at the new ring to approve it. Since Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall really thought out of the box, really cared about sticking to her promise of getting my ring back to me in time, she didn’t quit by leaving me a message. She didn’t stop and say, I tried. She sent a text. I was so impressed that Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall took my situation so serious.
Secondly, the way Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall and her Corporate office worked together to find a quick solution to my problem was impressive. It would have made more sense for them to repair my ring but for them to do so would have taken a lot more time. I had told Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall how important it was to have my ring back in time and she made sure her and her corporate office took that into consideration.
Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall took her promise to me seriously about the time frame. She told me she would do everything she could to make sure I had my ring back in time and she really did do everything she could do to make sure I had my ring back in time.
Last but definitely not least, when Tara at Helzberg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Mall left me that message on August 18, she could have easily left it at that.
