Person closest to the actual amount will win a $25 gift card to Madigan’s Waterfront in Occoquan, Virginia.  
 
Snow predictions contest winner will be determined, Sunday at 10 a.m.  You can only guess once but you are able to "edit" your guess up until 2 a.m. Sunday, January 23.
 
We will also be awarding 3 – $20 Madigan's gift cards for the best snow pictures. 
 
Photo contest winners will be determined on Monday, January 24 at Noon. There will be 3 winners.  Woodbridge VA Community will choose our favorite picture, Madigan’s Waterfront Restaurant will choose a picture and a the picture submitted with the most Facebook “Likes” will be our 3 winners.

Nelson Real Estate Team has partnered with Madigan's Waterfront to create a GUESS THE SNOW & Picture CONTEST for Woodbridge, Virginia.  Do you think you know how much snow Woodbridge will get this weekend?  Use the hashtag #WDBGSnow2016 and the person closest to the actual amount will win a $25 gift card to Madigan's Waterfront in Occoquan, Virginia.  We will also be awarding 3 – $20 gift cards for the best snow pictures. It's that time of year again.  Time to "Fall Back" thanks to the END TO Daylight Saving Time.  This year we turn our clocks back the day after Halloween.  Luckily with today's technology, all our clocks, phones and cable boxes automatically update themselves.  

 
5 Facts About Daylight Saving Time

 

  1. Daylight Saving Time Occurs the 2nd Sunday in March & The 1st Sunday in November
  2. Germany was the First Country To Adopt The Daylight Saving Policy in 1916
  3. It's Daylight Saving Time NOT Daylight Savings Time

    1. by saying "saving" you are referring to it as an adjective
  4. Not Everyone Springs Forward and Falls Back

    1. Only About 25% of the World takes part in Daylight Saving Time, aka DST
    2. Areas closer to the Equator have less of a need to change their clocks
    3. In the United States, Hawaii and parts of Arizona do not participate in Daylight Light Saving Time
  5. When Daylight Saving Time ends in the Fall, My body thinks I should start getting ready for bed at 7 p.m.

National Fire Protection Association encourages everyone to use Daylight Saving Time, aka DST,  to mark the time of year you check on your Smoke Detectors. This would be a good routine to make sure batteries in your smoke detectors are replaced and all your smoke detectors are in working order. 
 
The article specifically states to check on smoke detectors as DST begins.  I suspect is because the article was written in March. For me and my household, we use both Spring Forward and Fall Back to make sure our family is properly protected.

Birthday's are a day to honor special people in our lives. We thought it would be fun to honor Claudia on her birthday by telling you why we think CLAUDIA IS THE BEST REALTOR in Woodbridge and Our Theory On Her KEY TO SUCCESS.
